A/Prof Jason Abbott
Jason is Associate Professor of Gynaecological Surgery at UNSW Sydney and is the current President of the AGES Society. He is the International Editor for the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology and Associate Editor of ANZJOG and Human Reproduction. He is the Chairman of the Practice Committee of the AAGL charged with delivering evidence-based guidelines for surgical gynaecology, has published more than 110 peer-reviewed publications including large-scale RCTs in gynaecological surgery and evidence based surgical practice. He has published an undergraduate textbook in obstetrics and gynaecology has a strong PhD, Masters, Honours and research program and directs the GRACE (Gynaecological Research and Clinical Evaluation) Group. Jason is a member of the FIGO menstrual disorders group, is the medical director of Endometriosis Australia (charity) and is a past director of the RHW Foundation. In his spare time, Jason likes to care for his cattle, grow quinces and make chilly sauce.
